Hi Everyone,
As of this month we are starting a Twilight themed BOM (Block of the Month) Quilt.
Each month (first weekend of everyone month) a new pattern will be posted. There will be 2 versions of the quilt with a Beginners version for those that are new to it all, and an Advanced version for the more adventurous.
The patterns are all paper pieced style of quilting. For tutorials on this type of quilt block work then you can find some video tutes and othe useful links on Sewhooked.org, or you can try the Twilight Quilters Coven tute on their blog.
We want everyone that joins in on this quilt to post pictures of their work, so at the end of each month we'll do a random draw of all the names of those that had posted pics that month and will offer a small prize of a Twilight Quilt Button and a Twilight BOM button. To help us track your posts for our draw, please make sure you use the tag twibom with your post. You will need to use the twibom tag to ensure that you are included in the monthly drawer.
The patterns will be all given as 5" blocks. However do to the complicated nature of some of the Advanced blocks it is recommended that you enlarge these blocks by 200% to give you 10" blocks.
If at any time you have any problems during the BOM quilt with any of the patterns then send a pm to
hardhatcat or
ofenjen and we'll help you out as best as possible.
All patterns for this quilt are designed for and owned by hardhatcat. While you are free to use these patterns for yourself, as gifts or for charity fund raisers, it is requested that you do not use these designs for items that you intend to sell.
Well time to get started:
Beginners Pattern #1

(slight errata for pattern: unnumbered corner pieces should be 7, 8 & 9 in a clockwise manner)
Advanced Pattern #1
(example shown pieced by Elizabeth from TQC)

Happy Sewing!

Thanks in advance.

I've sent you an invitation to the community, so you just need to follow the instructions to join. If, by some chance, you don't get the invite in your email, you can find it here.
For future reference, to pm someone, just put your cursor over the little LJ head by the username of the person you want to message. A little box will pop up and one of the options is "send message".
Happy crafting!
